DENPASAR - The Bali Police arrested Edi Saputra (44), a narcotics dealer of ecstasy and methamphetamine types at a homestay on Pulau Galang Street, Denpasar.

"Currently the suspect is in the process of investigating and developing a case, and is being detained at the Bali Police Detention Center," said Head of Bali Police Public Relations Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, Thursday, February 16.

The police initially received information about drug trafficking on Sunday, January 29. From there, the police came to the homestay where the suspect lived.

During a search at the homestay, 37 packages of methamphetamine and 17 ecstasy pills were found. The police continued to search the suspect's residence.

"A search at the suspect Edi's boarding house found evidence of 51 packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 131.53 grams and 777 ecstasy tablets," he said.

This case is still being investigated regarding the source of the drug owned by the suspect. The suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 and Article 112 paragraph 2 of the Narcotics Law.
