JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Police conducted an investigation regarding the explosion of gas cylinders that occurred in the Galur Village area, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta.

"Currently, two witnesses have been questioned. From the results of the crime scene (TKP), there was a gas leak," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Police, AKP Yossy Januar, Tuesday, February 14.

The reason is, the three victims suffered severe burns. Currently, the three victims are still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

"The three victims are known to have burns 40 percent in their body parts. One man and two women suffered burns," he said.

Kanit said, at the time of the incident, one of the residents of the house was about to turn on the stove.

"So the room of the house was filled with gas, coincidentally one of the residents lived the gas and immediately came out with a big fire," he said.

A number of evidences were also secured for further investigation. One small gas cylinder and regulator were secured as evidence to the Johar Baru Police.

"We have only secured two pieces of evidence, small gas and regulators," he said.

Previously, it was reported that three residents of RT 10/03, Galur Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta were lying down after suffering burns from a gas cylinder explosion. The three victims were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
