Member Of Commission VI Of The DPR RI Expresses The Transfer Of The State Capital As A New Era For Indonesia

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VI DPR RI Subardi revealed that the development project of the National Capital City (IKN) of the archipelago is a new era for Indonesia's development. "The transfer to IKN is a new era for our country. Era of economic transformation, equitable distribution of development, technology growth and development that is Indonesia's centris," said Subardi in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday, February 12. The transfer to IKN continues to be accelerated, after the strategic project of the country has a legal umbrella through Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN Nusantara. Through that law, the President has formed an IKN Authority as a ministry level institution that makes preparations, development and relocation of the nation's capital city. DPR has authorized the IKN Law and gives the executive the authority to carry out the law orders. Likewise with its construction to be managed by BUMN. So far the preparation has been smooth," said Subardi, quoted from Antara. The government plans to hold the Indonesian Independence Ceremony ceremony in 2024 in IKN Nusantara. The celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day at IKN is the beginning of the transfer of the capital city from Jakarta to East Kalimantan.

Seeing the government's plan, Subardi invites all parties to support the development of IKN as a new era for the Indonesian nation. The transfer of IKN from Jakarta to Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan aims to balance development. The presence of IKN will cut the gap in development between regions in Indonesia. The concept of Future Smart Forest City or a green smart city will make IKN a new symbol of Indonesia as a country rich in natural resources, environmentally friendly, green energy use, and modern urban planning. With the moving of the capital city, Indonesia will follow in the footsteps of modern countries, such as the United States, Russia, Australia, Turkey, and other countries. The country has succeeded in moving the capital city which currently has separate capital cities, central cities, business and central cities of government. The division of government and business centers has brought the country more advanced.
