PALANGKA RAYA - The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Central Kalimantan Police together with the Resort Police in the local ranks arrested 86 more than 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine drug owners who have now been named suspects.

Director of the Central Kalimantan Police Narcotics Investigation Kombes Pol Nono Wardoyo in Palangka Raya, Friday said his party during January 2023 had uncovered 73 drug cases and arrested 86 suspects.

"For the evidence, of the 73 cases, the Regional Police and the Regional Police confiscated 30 pills of drugs such as ecstasy, 1,285.24 grams of crystal methamphetamine or 1.2 kilograms and 2,600 pills of G list," he said in Palangka Raya.

Nono Wardoyo said, in the comparison of the disclosure of drug crimes in 2022 when compared to the disclosure in 2023, the number of cases decreased by seven cases, while the number of suspects and evidence decreased very significantly.

In January 2022, from 80 cases to 73 cases in January 2023. Then for the number of suspects from 104 people in January 2022 to 86 people in January 2023 or decreased by 18 people.

Meanwhile, last year's evidence of methamphetamine managed to confiscate 4,343.91 grams of crystal methamphetamine, while this year it was 1,285.6 grams or a decrease of 3,058.31 grams.

"For the drug List G in January 2022, it managed to confiscate 2,532 pills in January 2023 to 2,600 pills and an increase of 86 pills," said the number one person at the Directorate of Drug Investigation at the Central Kalimantan Police.

Nono Wardoyo emphasized that most of the disclosures made by his party were from inter-provincial networks such as the Pontianak City (Kalbar) network and the City of Banjarmasin (Kalsel) by land.

Networks from Pontianak are entering through Lamandau Regency, West Kotawaringin, Sukamara, East Kotawaringin.

Meanwhile, South Kalimantan's network through Banjarmasin City to Palangka Raya City and Gunung Mas Regency. The illicit goods are circulated in various places.

"We will not stop eradicating drug trafficking in Central Kalimantan, because the Central Kalimantan region has now been targeted by dealers and not the track like a few years ago," said Nono Wardoyo.
