JAKARTA - Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD highlighted the lack of park and ride land near MRT stations, which according to him had an impact on the lack of interest in people using MRT.

Taking a closer look at the MRT park and ride location, the VOI Team visited the MRT parking lot in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Friday, February 10.

In the afternoon at 14.00 WIB, in the parking lot of Lebak Bulus MRT users, thousands of motorbikes and hundreds of cars were seen. There is an atomatic portal as an entrance and exit for vehicles equipped with surveillance cameras when they want to pick up parking tickets. There are also 10 CCTV installed in this area.

The Lebak Bulus park and ride conturbation decreased slightly down with the road covered with paving blocks and asphalt.

Met at the location, one of the parking attendants named Darwis explained that the area of the Lebak Bulus park and ride, South Jakarta reached 8,518 square meters. This land is said to accommodate 1,200 motorcycle units. As for the car vehicle, it is estimated that it will reach 150 units.

Nevertheless, Darwis admitted that there was a certain moment where this parking lot was narrow because many vehicles entered the parking lot. To outsmart it so that it can accommodate, Darwis and his colleagues tidied up the vehicle more tightly.

Regarding the existence of vacant land covered with fences in the area, Darwis explained that the place does not belong to the Transportation Service, but belongs to the DKI Jakarta PDAM.

With a land area of almost 9 thousand meters, MRT Lebak Bulus' park and ride has an income of IDR 3 million per day.
