The Ministry Of Transportation Has Issued 3 Appeals For Security At The Imbas Airport To Burn Susi Aircraft In Nduga Papua

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Ditjen Hubla) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) issued an appeal for the impact of the burning of the Susi Air plane by the armed criminal group (KKB) Papua on Tuesday, February 7 yesterday.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation Adita Irawati said there were three appeals for the security of airports or airports.

First, he said airport organizers should always coordinate with local security forces and be more vigilant by checking such as entry permits for people before entering the airport's limited security area.

"Second, air transportation organizers should carry out more intensive inspections of passengers by checking the 'boarding pass' and matching their identity and checking luggage for flight safety," Adita said in a written statement, Wednesday, February 8, as reported by Antara.

Furthermore, third, he said, all airports in Nduga Regency which have been managed by local governments to be selective and always coordinate with security forces in terms of granting flight permits.

Previously, it was reported that Susi Air's plane with flight number SI 9368 was burned by KKB at the Paro airport in Nduga, Central Papua, Tuesday, February 7 morning.

The plane piloted by New Zealand captain Philips M carried five passengers, namely Demanus Gwijangge, Minda Gwijangge, Pelinus Gwijangge, Meita Gwijangge, and Wetina W.

Currently, Damai Cartenz Operation personnel from the TNI-Polri elements have been deployed in the search and evacuation of the pilot and 5 passengers of Susi Air.
