Allegedly Judicial Activities, Satpol PP Pekanbaru Sidak Gapler Location

PekanbarU - Pekanbaru City Satpol PP is wary of gambling activities in a number of game arenas (Gapler). So far, the authorities claim they have not found gambling activities that are allegedly still operating.

The head of the Pekanbaru City Satpol PP, Zulfahmi Adrian, said on Sunday that three places for the scarcity arena or Gelper were visited. Among them are the Gelper King Zone on Jalan Kumuka Tambusai, Marpoyan Damai District, Gelper Binggo Jalan Riau, Senapelan District, and also the Gelper 04k 21 Jalan Riau, Senapelan District.

He said the gelper was only operating after it had previously closed. His party checked and asked for all licensing documents.

"So earlier we took a copy of it and we will study it and analyze it. Has it fulfilled the provisions or what it is like. Because now the system permits are 'online single submission' (OSS)," he was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Sunday, February 5.

During the raid, the Satpol PP and the police appealed to the Gelper manager to follow the Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 3 of 2022 concerning Public Entertainment. Operational time must not exceed the provisions.

"We also said that the game arena should not be used as a gambling area or a place to use drugs or the circulation of liquor. That's why we also checked all permits, whether later there will be elements of gambling there. We immediately checked it, but if we directly asked, there was nothing," he said.

After this, his party will monitor developments. Will people be placed there or what will happen in the future to ensure that there is no element of gambling there.

"If it doesn't exist while it's gone, we don't have a problem. Please try," he said.
