The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that goods in detention centers must comply with the provisions of the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjen PAS) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham). All standards must be followed and cannot follow the wishes of the detained suspects.

This affirmation was conveyed by the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, responding to the complaint of the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. The suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification, through his lawyer, said that the mattress at the KPK Detention Center Pomdam Jaya Guntur Branch was so thin that it made his body hurt.

"KPK has standard that has been standard, how then the facilities (in detention centers, ed) must exist in accordance with the provisions," Ali told reporters, Friday, February 3.

"There is a heating, for example. There is a refrigerator, what is requested. It's not like that, right, because there are provisions that the KPK must also pay attention to the standards of a detention center as stipulated in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights," he continued.

Even so, Ali ensured that the KPK never differentiated the suspect from one another. Those in detention are treated equally and get all their rights.

Including, the right to health because the team of doctors continues to monitor the condition of the suspects. "We do not differentiate regarding the health of the suspects, the treatment of the suspects and KPK detainees in the detention center," he said.

Previously, Lukas was a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification for allegedly receiving money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka. The gift was made so that the private company got a project in Papua.

The KPK said that there was a 14 percent agreement on the value of the contract and payments must be free of tax deductions.

After agreeing, Rijantono's company got three projects. The first is the improvement of Jalan Entrop-Hamadi with a project value of IDR 14.8 billion.

Rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure supporting PAUD Integration with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental planning project developed outdoor AURI with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to tens of billions that have just been investigated by the KPK.

Apart from Lukas, the KPK suspects that there are officials who play in accepting bribes and gratuities. However, investigators are still investigating.
