Lukas Enembe Ready To Through The Legal Process, KPK: No Complaints When Asked

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is healthy and can be prosecuted even though his attorney often calls him chronically ill. He never complained anything when asked by doctors at the KPK Detention Center (Rutan).

"Asked if there were any complaints, it turned out that there were no complaints," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Saturday, January 4.

Lukas, said Ali, could also carry out activities like other prisoners at the KPK Detention Center Pomdam Jaya Guntur Branch.

"Even though the narrative that was built was as if LE was seriously ill," he said.

"That he has a disease, right. We don't deny it. That's why there is a team of KPk doctors who monitor it all the time, medicines are given, consulted to the RSPAD even if he refuses to go there," continued Ali.

Furthermore, Ali hopes that there will be no more false narrative about the health of the alleged bribery and gratification suspect from the attorney. They were asked to focus on defending their clients according to the substance of the case that is currently underway.

"I think the health of the KPK suspect named LE does not then become a continuous focus like this by law management. Moreover, then the narrative that was built did not match the facts," he said.

As previously reported, Lukas Enembe is now a KPK prisoner for alleged bribery and gratification related to project work at the Papua Provincial Government. He is suspected of receiving money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, so that the company can get a job.

The anti-corruption commission suspects that Lukas is not alone in accepting bribes and gratuities. Investigators are still investigating who else the official involved in the collusion was.

Called the KPK, there is an agreement to provide a fee of 14 percent of the contract value. Fee must be free from tax reduction.

From there, Rijantono's company got three projects. The first is the improvement of the Entropy-Hamadi Road with a project value of IDR 14.8 billion.

Rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure supporting PAUD Integration with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental planning project developed outdoor AURI with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to tens of billions that have just been investigated by the KPK.
