Pretending To Be Robbed, Gas Station Employee In Tabanan Bali Steals Company Money IDR 671 million

TABANAN - Tabanan Police, Bali, arrested two gas station employees on Bypass Soekarno Street, Sanggulan Banjar, Banjar Anyar Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali.

The two perpetrators, Ni Kadek Duwi Widyantari (27), an accountant and I Made Ariana (40), an office boy at a gas station. These two perpetrators engineered a fake scenario with a robbery case to cover up the actions of the perpetrator who had embezzled more than IDR 671 million of company money for two years.

"The modus operandi of the perpetrators was embezzlement by creating a theft scenario", said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tabanan Police, AKP Aji Yoga Sekar, Wednesday, February 1.

The manager of CV Mertha Sari SPBU Wayan Handy Sastrawan was called by the perpetrator Ni Kadek Duwi Widyantari who claimed to have fallen from the motorbike.

When approached, the victim confessed to Handy that the gas station's income was stolen. Handy also asked the perpetrator to report to the Tabanan Police

"After being at the Kediri Police and when asked by a member of the police, the perpetrator explained that the turnover money on 28 and 29 January 2023 was taken by an unknown person worth IDR 671,179,000", he added.

The engineering claim to have been mugged was revealed after the police conducted an investigation. The perpetrator confessed to fabricating this story with Made Ariana

"The victim felt a loss of IDR 671,179,000 which was the result of sales on Saturday and Sunday at gas stations", he said.
