Circulating Photos Of Faces Of Women's Body Disposal In The Cipelang Sukabumi River, Police Make Sure It's A Hoax

SUKABUMI - Sukabumi City Police confirmed that the photos of the alleged perpetrators of throwing the woman's body in the Cipangang River, Sukabumi City, West Java, which were widely circulated through the WhatsApp application were hoaxes. "We received information regarding the circulation of photos regarding the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator involved in the case of the discovery of a woman's body in the Cipangang River which was spread on the WA application, but after being investigated it turned out that the photos had nothing to do with the case or hoaxes," said Head of Public Relations of the Sukabumi City Police, Iptu Astuti Setyaningsih in Sukabumi, Antara, Monday, January 30. The photos circulating show images of the alleged perpetrator throwing the female body, vehicle number plates and screenshots of conversations on the WA application. However, after being traced and proven true, the police said that the information circulating in the WA application was false information and could not be accounted for. Astuti emphasized that the photo of a man and car spread across the short message application had nothing to do with the discovery of a naked woman's body on the Cipelang River. Until now, the ranks of the Sukabumi City Police Detective and Criminal Unit together with the Warudoyong Police are still trying to uncover the case. "We ask for prayers so that this case can be revealed quickly," he added. Previously, Polsek personnel together with Koramil Warudoyong, assisted by residents, evacuated the body of a naked woman and identity who was caught in the rocks of the Cipelang River, precisely on Jalan Sejahtera, RT 001/020, Dayeuhluhur Village, Warudoyong District, Sukabumi City, Wednesday, January 25. From the results of the investigation, it was revealed that the victim was named Cici P. Lestari (24), a resident of Baros District, Sukabumi City. According to his family's statement, the victim was suffering from a mental disorder.
