PAPUA - An armed criminal group or KKB is suspected of shooting Sahar, a civilian workshop worker in the Bilogai area, Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua. "It is true that the victim was shot and hit in the back. Currently the victim is being treated at the Sugapa Health Center. The shooting incident occurred at around 15.00 WIT," said Head of the Cartenz Damai Task Force Kombes Faizal Ramadhani to ANTARA in Jayapura, Monday, January 30. Faizal said that until now his party had not received a complete report from the Intan Jaya Police regarding the shooting incident due to problems with telecommunications channels. "We are still waiting for a complete report regarding the shooting incident and it has not been confirmed which group the perpetrators came from," explained Kombes Faizal. Regarding the possibility of the shooting victims being evacuated to Nabire, Faizal said that until now he had not because no more aircraft were operating. "It is possible Tuesday that the victim will be evacuated to Nabire for further medical treatment," he said.
