Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka is targeting an increase in tourist stay time this year following the addition of various tourist attractions in Solo. "The target is for tourists to stay two to three nights," he said in Solo, Antara, Thursday, January 26. Previously, the length of stay in Solo was only in the range of 1.3-1.5 nights. He said that with various additional tourist destinations, Solo was ready to compete with Yogyakarta and Semarang. For new tourist destinations that are ready to open this year, including Lokananta Footage Studio, Balekambang Tourism Park, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. "So if we draw a line from Jalan Ahmad Yani, we have Lokananta whose revitalization will be completed in April or March, straight, there is a little Balekambang Park which is finished in December, there is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque which has finished waiting for the opening. Go again there is IKM Gilingan, go again there is Technopark, then Solo Safari which will be opened on Friday tomorrow. This is an extraordinary development, everything is physically speeding up," he said. The essence of this development is that tourists are expected to stay in Solo longer. "The point is that from all the points we have built, we want tourists here for more than two days, the goal is simple," he said. Meanwhile, his party is also preparing for the construction of the Jongke Market which is also used to facilitate tourists visiting Kampung Batik Laweyan.
