A group of teenagers were arrested by the Tamansari Metro Police for the crime of beating an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) at a restaurant in the Mangga Besar area, Tamansari District, West Jakarta.

One of the ojol drivers ran towards the restaurant to save himself. That's when the victims were beaten by teenagers.

"It was at the restaurant that there was a beating that is currently viral," he said.

After receiving the report, the perpetrators of the beating were arrested by members of the Tamansari Metro Police Criminal Investigation Buser.

"Two suspects with the initials RS (21) and MF (17) were arrested because they were proven to have beaten them. Three other people are still witnesses," he said.

The suspect at the hospital was proven to have thrown the victim with a helmet. Meanwhile, the suspect MF hit the victim with bamboo.

"They were arrested after we managed to identify the faces of the perpetrators from CCTV footage at the scene. Almost all perpetrators of attacks on minors or under 17 years of age," he said.
