KPK Asks Lukas Enembe To Cooperate In Front Of Investigators After Being Dismissed

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked the non-active Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, to cooperate with allegations of bribery and gratuities that ensnared him before investigators. Moreover, Lukas Enembe was declared healthy and could be questioned.

"Next (we hope, red) the suspect is cooperative in following the entire process that the KPK is carrying out," said Head of KPK Reporting Section Ali Fikri quoted on Tuesday, January 24.

Lukas Enembe was previously dismissed because his health needed to be monitored by a team of doctors from the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. This argument ended on Friday, January 20 and he was immediately returned to the KPK Detention Center to serve his term of detention.

In this case, Lukas Enembe is suspected of receiving bribes and gratuities related to a number of projects in Papua.

The money received allegedly came from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, so that the company would get the project. The KPK said that this conspiracy was also carried out by Lukas and other Papua Provincial Government officials.

It was stated that there was an agreement to provide a fee of 14 percent of the contract value. Fees must be net of tax deductions.

There are three projects that Rijantono got for this evil agreement. The first is the improvement of Entrop-Hamadi Road with a project value of IDR 14.8 billion.

Rehabilitation of supporting facilities and infrastructure for Integration PAUD with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental management project is developing the AURI outdoor with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over IDR 1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to billions of rupiah.
