JAKARTA - One teenager named Reza (20) was arrested by residents for being caught holding three junior high school students at school when they came home from school in Ganggagi, Jalan Arabika, Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, January 18, afternoon.

The perpetrator pointed at him when the victim with the initials R, L and A pretended that the perpetrator's sister had lost her cellphone. However, the actions of the perpetrators were discovered by residents when the three victims shouted for help.

"He (the victim) was pointing at him (the victim). The victim was shocked and spontaneously shouted. Then a teenager and young people responded and immediately chased the perpetrator," said one resident with the initials AR to VOI at the scene, Wednesday, January 18.

The two perpetrators used an automatic motorbike while carrying out the action. However, when residents chased the perpetrators, the two perpetrators panicked and spurred their motorbikes until they turned in a dead end alley for the vehicle.

As a result, one of the perpetrators named Reza was arrested by residents. Meanwhile, the other perpetrators managed to escape from the crowd.

Perpetrator Reza had received a blow from furious residents. However, the perpetrator was arrested at the security post around the location.

"(The cellphone) was not taken) according to the victim's statement. The perpetrator was two people, one fled," he said.

From the scene of the incident, residents found two sharp weapons and an exhibition pill belonging to the robber. For further processing, residents also contacted the Duren Sawit Police.

"Equipped with 8 exhibition pills in the plastic clip," he said.
