Polda Metro Jaya arrested Alex Bonpis, who is a major drug dealer in the Kampung Bahari area, North Jakarta. He has been a fugitive since June 2022. "For this DPO AB (Alex Bonpis) after a long search from investigators from the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya has made arrests," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Tuesday, January 17. Alex Bonpis was said to have been arrested in the early hours of this morning. However, no details were given regarding the location of the arrest of the big dealer. Only Alex was secured by the Metro Jaya Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate team outside the Jakarta area. Currently, Alex Bonpis is still being investigated intensively. Investigators will explore the origins of the drugs he often circulates. "So far it is true, the suspect has been arrested at the regional police and then we will conduct an examination," he said. On the other hand, Trunoyudo said, shortly after arresting Alex, his party immediately traced the assets belonging to the drug dealer. From his house, airsoft guns were confiscated to luxury cars. "Earlier we carried out asset tracing at the DPO domicile," said Trunoyudo. For information, Alex Bonpis is a fugitive in a drug case. The DPO status was first issued because he was involved in the circulation of five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in June 2022. Then, the status of the second DPO was issued in October 2022. This is because he was the mastermind behind the circulation of one kilogram of methamphetamine.
