JAKARTA - Mayasari Bakti's management as one of the operators of the TransJakarta fleet is considering reporting to the police regarding the bus escort action by a number of online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) on Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, Thursday, January 12.

PT Mayasari Bakti's Field Manager, Daryono, said the ambush began when the 7B KPR-Blok M corridor bus drove from Jalan Dewi Sartika to Jalan Raya Bogor which was about to pull over at the bus stop of the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC).

"There were two motorbikes that preceded (the bus). When they stopped at the bus stop, there was an ojol driver stopping his motorbike in front of the bus and getting angry," said Daryono, quoted from Antara, Friday, January 13.

Daryono added that the bus with the number 21228 was then intercepted by a number of online motorcycle taxi drivers who were angry because they felt they were being grabbed by a TransJakarta bus that was about to stop.

The commotion did not spread because it was prevented by residents. Then the TransJakarta bus, which was carrying a number of passengers and drivers of the "online" motorcycle taxi (ojol), continued its journey to Jalan Raya Bogor towards Pasar Rebo.

"But when in front of the KJI (mall) it turned out that the ojol driver stopped waiting for the bus. And when the bus stopped, the ojol driver and some of his friends went up to the cabin," said Daryono.

Daryono said that a number of online motorcycle taxi drivers had also made dirty words and threats that made passengers afraid.

"For drivers who do not experience physical violence, none of the passengers are mistreated," said Daryono.

Regarding the incident, Daryono said, his party was still considering reporting the attack case to the police. "Still reviewing it, not reporting it to the police," said Daryono.
