JAKARTA - West Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Suryanbodo Asmoro listened to complaints from Badau residents in the border area of Indonesia and Malaysia in the Kapuas Hulu region through Friday's Curhat activity.

From some complaints from the public - said Suryanbodo, it is related to the opening of agricultural land or fields by burning them.

The West Kalimantan Provincial Government has made it easier for people who will open land for farming to have to report to the local village head and provide fire extinguishers independently.

"There is already an easy way to open fields, but report to our village together so that forest and land fires do not occur," he said, quoted by Antara.

Suryanbodo also explained that regarding the purchase of goods from neighboring countries, this had been regulated by the government regarding restrictions, because it was measured by the needs of the community.

He also mentioned that related to the recruitment of members of the National Police, a calculation has been carried out by the government so that the recruitment of both members of the National Police and the TNI can be seen from the number of Polri and TNI who have retired and who have died.

"If later the sons of the region who will become members of the police and the TNI must really train themselves both physically and health," he said.

West Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Suryanbodo Asmoro and his entourage used helicopters during a visit to the Kapuas Hulu area, apart from meeting face-to-face with community leaders, the Kapolda Police Chief also met face-to-face with the Kapuas Hulu Regency Government.
