The Case Of Human Trafficking In Green Pramuka City Apartments The Modus Operandi Is To Promise Work With A Salary Of IDR 20 Million Per Month

The Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) stated that there were 6 victims of trafficking in people who were used as commercial sex workers (CSWs) in the Green Pramuka City apartment, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta. The perpetrator lured the victim to have a job with a salary of Rp. 20 million per month.

The findings were the result of developments carried out by the police after receiving a report from a victim with the initials FMA, a woman from Bengkulu.

"There were 6 victims, 3 of them were minors," said Kombes Komarudin, Thursday, January 12.

Pengungkapan itu bermula setelah pihaknya menerima laporan adanya salah satu anggota keluarga yang dijual oleh para pelaku. Kemudian Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat melakukan pengembangan dan cek tempat kejadian perkara (TKP) di apartemen Green Pramuka City.

"We checked the crime scene at the GP apartment in the Central Jakarta area. Then, we revealed 3 perpetrators who had moved to an apartment in the Lippo Karawaci area along with 5 other victims," he said.

Furthermore, members of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim arrested 4 suspects with the initials RD, RDY, PJ and SPW.

"There are a total of four suspects. Two of the suspects are husband and wife," he said.

From the suspect's confession, they lured the victims with a salary of Rp. 20 million per month.

"The modus operandi carried out by the perpetrators started with the perpetrator RDY, a woman who offered a job through social media. Then the FMA victim responded. Where in information on social media, the victims will be employed at a hotel," he explained.

However, after arriving at the Green Pramuka City apartment, it turned out that the other suspects with the initials RD and PJ were already waiting.

"The victim was conveyed a job that must be done to serve guests in the apartment unit. The victims are lured with a salary of 15-20 million every month," he said.

The four suspects were charged with Article 12 junto Article 13 of the Republic of Indonesia Law 12 of 2022 concerning the crime of sexual violence and/or Article 2 junto 25 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 of 2007 concerning criminal acts of trafficking in persons and/or Article 506 of the Criminal Code.

Previously, it was reported that four perpetrators of trafficking in persons or criminal acts of pimps were arrested by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim at the Green Pramuka City Apartment, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.

"The four suspects who were arrested had the initials RD, RDY, PJ, and SPW. They were arrested in the Green Pramuka apartment," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when contacted by VOI, Sunday, January 1.

Kombes Komarudin said this disclosure began with a report by one of the victims with the initials FMA.

According to the victim's report, the incident that happened to him began when he was looking for work through social media.

"The victim who reported this was a Bengkulu resident. Then there was an offer that there was work at the hotel, then the victim was picked up and promised a job. It turned out that the job offer was not in accordance with what was promised," he said.

The FMA victim is known to be forced to serve the lust of the guests until she has sex. Departing from the report, members immediately arrested the perpetrator.
