The Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Satpol PP has brought order to a number of street vendors (PKL) on the sidewalks of Kebayoran Lama Utara ahead of the inauguration of the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono. Plt. Kasatpol PP Kebayoran Lama, Citra said, this control was carried out by taking tarpaulins to wood that were used as merchant stalls. "We only carry parts such as used tarpaulins, wood, the goods that are usually left (traders) are removed," Citra said when contacted, Thursday, January 12. The street vendors of used goods around the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk have been selling their wares since a few months ago. However, Citra claims similar control is carried out regularly. "We usually carry out routine activities. After the apple, we routinely comb. Then because we will prepare for the inauguration of the Skywalk, we will have more intense combing," said Citra. Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency, Hari Nugroho, revealed that the pedestrian bridge or the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk, South Jakarta, will be opened on January 17. "Skywalk plans to open on the 17th. It is planned that Mr. Acting (Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono) will attend and inaugurate (the opening of the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk)," Hari said when contacted. The Kebayoran Lama Skywalk was built to connect pedestrian access between the Velbak Transjakarta Bus Stop (koridor 13), the Kebayoran Lama Transjakarta Bus Stop (koridor 8), and the Kebayoran Lama KRL Station. Even though the work has been completed, the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk is still closed. The reason is, there is one work that has not been completed, namely the revitalization of the Kebayoran Lama Bus Stop which is connected to the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk. "Skywalk is 100 percent from December (2022) yesterday. But what has not been completed (Kebayoran Lama bus stop) is corridor 8. The corridors 13 (Hate Velbak) and KCI (Kebayoran Lama Station) have been completed," said Hari. However, the condition of the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk that has not been opened is difficult for people who want to move modes between the Velbak Bus Stop and Kebayoran Lama Station. Therefore, the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk will be opened without waiting for the revitalization of the Kebayoran Lama Bus Stop to be completed. "Physically, (The Kebayoran Lama bus stop) has actually been completed, maybe it hasn't been completely completed), a little more. The important thing is that we open the skywalk which (connects) corridor 13 (CENTer Velbak) with KCI (Kebayoran Lama station)," he added.
