JAMBI - Personnel from the Muaro Jambi Police Satnarkoba arrested a motorcycle taxi driver and a drug courier with the initials RK who was carrying out his action delivering one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. The courier was arrested without a fight.

"He was arrested by members of the Muaro Jambi Police Narcotics Unit who had received the information while in Sungai Bertam Village, Jaluko District with evidence of one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine," said Muaro Jambi Police Chief AKBP Yuyan Priatmaja, Thursday, January 5, confiscated by Antara.

The police found three packages of size containing methamphetamine at the time of the arrest. Members also carried out developments and it turned out that the suspect admitted that he was still keeping drugs at his house.

"When searched, there was still approximately 750 grams of methamphetamine, so that the total evidence he secured was one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine," said Yuyan.

As a result of the examination, suspect RK admitted to getting methamphetamine from an unknown passenger when he just got off the bus at Simpang Rimbo at the end of December 2022.

RK, who works as a motorcycle taxi driver, escorted the passenger, who he called Wahid, to find lodging.

Wahid then just handed over a bag to RK. Without suspicion RK took him away and then opened because he was curious that it contained methamphetamine. A moment later RK sold the methamphetamine to Bertam, Muaro Jambi Regency.

However, the suspect's confession was not immediately trusted by officers. The Muaro Jambi Police Narcotics Unit is currently still investigating this case.

"Members in the field are conducting further investigations to determine who the other perpetrators are in that case," he concluded.
