Mirwazi said David (40), arrested along with three of his colleagues with the initials I (30) and RR (26), and R (27), on suspicion of drug abuse of methamphetamine on Wednesday, early December 2022 at 02.00 WIB.
On Thursday, December 8 at around 09.50 WIB, said Mirwazi, the BNN medical team received a report from David who was placed in a sick detention room. The medical team saw him as a person who was nervous and noisy and could not communicate well.
"From these conditions and information, the medical team provided medicine and asked their colleagues to provide food and drink. The medical team also observed David's condition," he also said.
A few hours later, the medical team again received a report that the person concerned needed treatment because he was noisy, nervous, and could not be invited to communicate. The medical team took him to Bhayangkara Hospital.
After being treated at the hospital, David's condition improved and was allowed to go home. David is also advised to be taken to the Banda Aceh Mental Hospital for rehabilitation of drug use.
"The person concerned was brought back to the BNN office. At the BNN office, he had time to defecate and defecate in his pants. The officer had ordered his colleague to wash him. However, he refused and had time to bang his body against the bathroom wall," said Mirwazi.
Because of his condition, said Mirwazi again, the medical team communicated with his wife. From his wife, he found information on symptoms and people who depend on stimulant substances.
The medical team referred him to the Banda Aceh Mental Hospital. His wife and family agreed to the referral. Then, BNN handed it over to his family, said Mirwazi.
"The BNN team also accompanied his family to take him to the Banda Aceh Mental Hospital for treatment. A day later, we received information that he died," said Mirwazi.
