REJANG LEBONG - Fire Department (Damkar) officers of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, managed to save a MTs student who fell into a 15 meter deep well in the Line Two border area with Kepahiang Regency. Head of the Rejang Lebong Fire Service, Ferry Najamiudin, stated that the incident was experienced by Reko (13), a resident of Durian Depun Village, Merigi District, Kepahiang Regency at 15.00 WIB. The victim fell into the well after being with his friend playing in a chase. "After receiving reports from residents, we sent five fire and rescue personnel, at around 15.20 WIB arrived at the location and thank God the victim at around 16.00 WIB we rescued the victim and then taken him to the hospital," he said in a written statement. in Rejang Lebong, Antara, Tuesday, January 3. He explained that the process of evacuating students who fell into the well was not only carried out by his party but also assisted by officers from PMI Rejang Lebong, TNI/Polri officers, and the people of Durian Depun Village, Kepahiang Regency. The rescue process was dramatic, the officers had to go down the well using a safety rope and then lift the victim up. The victim's condition when he was evacuated was conscious and suffered bruises on several parts of his body and fractures. The victim was then immediately rushed to the Rejang Lebong Hospital. "Based on the information from the victim's parents, Ujang Ramadhan, he said that his son and his friends were playing in a chase behind an empty house and it was not realized that there was a well so that it fell into a 15 meter deep well," he said.
