Blessings For New Year's Holidays, Ontel Bicycle Services Providers In Old City Have A Income Of IDR 400 Thousand One Day

JAKARTA - Ontel bicycle suppliers in the Kota Tua area, West Jakarta, admitted that they earned an increase in revenue of 30 to 40 percent during the 2023 New Year holiday.

"Ontel bicycle rental has increased by 30 percent to 40 percent," said a member of the Ontel Bike Community in Kota Tua, Marhan, quoted from Antara, Saturday, December 31.

Marhan said this increase was not yet maximized because the economic condition of the community had not fully recovered after the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Although the volume of visitors in Kota Tua is busy and has increased during the holiday season, it is not significant because the economic condition in Indonesia is said to have not recovered," he said.

He also said that one tenant had two Ontel bicycles that could be rented out. "Before the pandemic, each member held three bicycles, but after the pandemic like now, they can only lease two bicycles," he said.

Marhan said that in leasing on-tel bicycles, a tariff of Rp. 20,000 for 30 minutes was charged.

"For 30 minutes, a tariff of Rp. 20,000 and accessories is like a hat," he said.

For now, he said income of Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 400 thousand in one day on a holiday.

"As much as Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 400 thousand I found," he said.

In this case, the cyclists from Jepara (Central Java) need treatment so that these bicycles can satisfy customers.

"If it's crowded like this, usually collisions between bicycles so that the handlebars are twisted, the brakes are thin and spend around Rp. 300 thousand a week," he said.

An ontel bicycle tenant, Nana (28) said she was happy using a classic Ontel bicycle and toured the historic area of Kota Tua, West Jakarta.

"It's very exciting to go around on a bicycle here because the euphoria is different, like' in the past," said Nana.
