Speaking Of Cabinet Reshuffle, The Secretary General Of PDIP Encouraged Jokowi's Antithesis Political Participation To 'Direct Yourself' From The Government Coalition

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto encouraged political parties that nominated Jokowi's 'anticipation' to withdraw from the government coalition. This was conveyed by Hasto in response to the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle expressed by President Joko Widodo some time ago. "Of course there is a constitutional basis, it should not be when nominating someone who is different and becomes antithesis with the president who is in office, political awareness arises to withdraw," Hasto said at an online press conference for the Year-End Reflection, Friday, December 30. "So supporting the president is not to get the good. When you have taken a different political stance, including those shown in the DPR, it should also be followed by the attitude in the executive. That's the attitude of the PDI-P," continued Hasto. Hasto then brought up the statement by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat, who asked President Jokowi to evaluate the two NasDem ministers, namely the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, and the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya. Hasto said that Djarot's statement was part of the PDIP's stance that was concerned about the issue of food adequacy. According to him, the statement by the Minister of Agriculture SYL regarding rice imports is indeed very different from the facts. "If we look at, for example, what was conveyed by the Minister of Agriculture on August 22, 2022, he said that Indonesia would export rice to China. But then it turned out that the facts were far from what was conveyed. We must import rice, which economically PDIP always provides critical notes when we want rice imports," explained Hasto. For this reason, Hasto reminded Jokowi's ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet to work hard before this period ends. "PDIP encourages that in the years leading up to 2024 all ministers really work hard to build a legacy to the ministry they lead," said Hasto. However, if later there are ministers from political parties who are affected by the reshuffle, Hasto asks, Jokowi's decision is not related to political issues. "If it can't be done well, don't be associated with political issues when the President makes the decision to reshuffle. And this reshuffle doesn't show certain parties," said Hasto.
