JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) managed to confiscate 223.969 kg of dried marijuana from the national networks of Aceh, Medan, and Depok.

"This dry marijuana weighs approximately 223.969 kg. This is the result of the disclosure of the national networks of Aceh, Medan, and Depok," said Acting Deputy for Eradication of BNN Brigadier General Sabaruddin Ginting at a press conference at the BNN RI Office, Jakarta, Thursday 29 December.

This case occurred on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at around 16.00 WIB in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java.

The method is for the suspects to use goods delivery services to send the dried marijuana in 6 plastic containers. Then entrusted to a delivery service to be sent from Medan, North Sumatra to Depok, West Java.

The success of this disclosure, said Ginting, is the fruit of the collaboration between BNN and freight forwarding services.

Ginting emphasized that cooperation is the main thing in order to help BNN work, including BNN's work in the field of eradication.

"Our cooperation with this freight forwarding service, which we call control delivery technique, is successful. First, the success of capturing one of the recipients, then the next control delivery to the herd so that we finally managed to uncover, arrest three perpetrators, including one of the controllers of Tangerang's first class prison inmates," said Ginting.

In addition to collaborating with shipping services, BNN RI also cooperates with prisons.

The result of cooperation with the prison is that BNN has the widest possible access to prisons to disclose.
