TANGERANG A video has gone viral on social media showing dozens of trees falling due to rain accompanied by strong winds in the Alam Sutera area, North Serpong, South Tangerang.

The video uploaded by the Snakevideo account @Muhammadsolihi609, was seen by heavy rain accompanied by strong winds hitting the Alam Sutera area. As a result, dozens of trees fell.

In addition, flying objects were also seen due to strong winds due to the extreme weather.

Contacted separately, the Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of the South Tangerang BPBD M Faridzal Gumay announced the incident. However, the incident occurred on Saturday, December 17.

"Yes, sir, a video 2 weeks ago, when a tree fell on the border between the cities of Tangerang and South Tangerang," said Gumay when confirmed, Wednesday, December 28.

He ensured that the current conditions in the area were only hit by light rain. As a result, there were no puddles and fallen trees at the location.

Furthermore, Gumay also assessed that irresponsible people took advantage of extreme weather warning moments by uploading old videos.

"Yes, the video went viral again because the warning from BMKG became the public worried that it would be excessive. If the current condition is still safe, it's just light rain. There are no banjr or fallen trees," he concluded.
