52 Thousand Vehicles Are Predicted To Return To Jakarta Tonight

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol estimates that 52,994 vehicles will return to Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) on Sunday night, December 25.

Director of Business and Operations of Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road, Pratomo Bimawan Putra, said that his party estimates that there will be an increase in traffic at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate to Jakarta from 16:00 p.m. to the evening.

"We from Jasa Marga estimate the peak return flow for the Christmas holiday period on Sunday, December 25, which starts this afternoon until tonight," Bima said as quoted by ANTARA.

Jasa Marga presented 52,994 vehicles heading to Jakarta on Sunday, December 25, 2022 via GT Cikampek Utama.

To anticipate traffic congestion through GT Cikampek Utama, Jasa Marga has prepared the number of substations that can be added up to 23 toll substations from 15 substations under normal conditions.

In addition to increasing the number of toll substation operations, GT Cikampek Utama is also preparing 17 mobile readers that can be optimized to increase transaction capacity in case of traffic congestion on the backflow of this Christmas holiday.

According to Antara's monitoring at GT Cikampek Utama, a number of vehicles from the Trans Java Toll Road began to be crowded towards Jakarta.

Previously, Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur said that the peak of Christmas's return flow was predicted on Sunday, December 25.

Jasa Marga estimates that the volume of traffic (entering Jabotabek) for the return flow of Christmas-New Year through four main toll gates is 2.71 million vehicles, an increase of 1.2 percent for the return flow of Christmas-New Year 2021/2022 as many as 2.6 million vehicles.

The estimated distribution of backflow traffic during Christmas-New Year is around 47.4 percent of vehicles from the east or the Trans Java Toll Road.
