JAKARTA - Two sniffer dogs from the K-9 Gegana unit of the Police Mobile Brigade were deployed to comb the Jakarta Cathedral Church ahead of the 2022 Christmas Mass, Saturday. At 13.00 WIB, the two dogs walked through the entire church complex. Then the Gegana team and K-9 units traced the inside of the historic church building. The search was carried out intensively for about 30-45 minutes so that the house of worship was safe from threats. With the help of the two K-9 dogs, none of the angles was missed to be tracked.

In addition, the Gegana Brimob Police Team also did not escape repeated checks behind a number of Christmas ornaments that had been installed in the church. The Cathedral Church held three Christmas Masses with a capacity of 100 percent, or around 2,500 congregations. Worship is carried out by implementing health protocols and mandatory registration. Christmas services are divided into three sessions, namely at 16.30 WIB for the elderly, 19.00 WIB a hybrid mass is held for families and 21.30 WIB for young people with the visualization of the birth of Christ.
