JAKARTA - As many as five teenagers who were involved in a brawl between groups on Jalan Kramat Jaya Baru, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Police. One of them was caught keeping a sharp weapon of the type of sickle.

"Yes, it is true that we arrested 5 teenagers. They were involved in a brawl between residents that has occurred recently," said Johar Baru Police Chief, AKP Rudi Wira when confirmed, Thursday, December 22.

AKP Rudi explained that the teenager arrested had a sharp weapon of the type of sickle with the initials NIS (25). Meanwhile, the other two suspects with the initials MI and DF tested positive for marijuana during a urine test.

"Two other teenagers will be sent home to their parents. We will also summon their parents and make an agreement so they don't fight again," he said.

From the results of police investigations, the suspect's initials NOS is a brawl actor in a number of locations in the Johar Baru area. NIS was involved in various brawls in Johar Baru.

"They fought through promises via WhatsApp. The teenager who was caught carrying a knife was subject to an emergency law, and two other teenagers who were positive for drugs would undergo rehabilitation," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a brawl between two groups of youths had occurred again at Gembrong Market, Kampung Rawa Selatan 1, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta. This incident took place for two days since Monday, December 19 and Tuesday, December 20, yesterday.

The brawl was also caught on an amateur camera by the residents. The two groups were seen attacking each other. They carry sharp weapons such as machetes, samurai and throw objects at each other.

Johar Baru Police Chief AKP Rudi Wira said the brawl did not last long after the police plunged into the scene. The perpetrators of the brawl were successfully dispersed by members of the Johar Baru Police. "It's normal. It's like that every day (brawl)," he said when contacted, Wednesday, December 21.
