After Anies Baswedan Lengser, The DKI Provincial Government Pasang Pagar Around Tebet Eco Park

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to install a fence around Tebet Eco Park. This regulation is carried out to limit the number of visitors' capacity.

"The hashtag is the second part of the solution that is sought after limiting the number of park visitors by making a registration system for visitors through JAKI which has been implemented since July 2022," said Plt. Head of the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service Fajar Sauri in his statement, Tuesday, December 20.

Fajar revealed that the fencing was also carried out to maintain plant vegetation with the management of residents' visits and activities in the Tebet Eco Park area.

Tebet Eco Park is also not designed as a park that operates 24 hours. Thus, budgeting is a step to maintain the security of the park area.

This hashtag is designed to maintain the openness of the park with maximum visibility, in accordance with the initial functions and objectives of the park's green and open design. However, it remains by maintaining the function of the fence as a safeguard for the park area, thus helping to prevent misuse of the park area," he explained.

This fence is built permanent with a length of approximately 1,700 square meters that surrounds the entire park. The fence is made of perforated steel.

This budget does not use the APBD, but through the SP3L scheme (a letter of approval for the appointment of location or land use) which is an obligation for developers who carry out regional development of more than 5,000 meters in Jakarta.

A principle permit related to the construction of fences and the installation of bridge sensors at Tebet Eco Park has been issued in September 2022. Then, it will be followed by the implementation of the budgeting which is planned to be completed in March 2023.

Tebet Eco Park previously exploded at the beginning of the opening. At that time, Anies Baswedan, who was still the Governor of DKI Jakarta, instructed him to close the city park for repairs.

Tebet Eco Park is now reopening with a visitor data collection system. After Anies stepped down from his term of office, there was an additional fence around the park.
