The Tanah Abang Metro Police are still pursuing the stabbing perpetrator who killed a young man with the initials M (27) in Bongkaran Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

The victim died after finding stab wounds to the chest, precisely in the Jalan Jatanibaru West Flood Canal Inspection (BKB) area, Kali Bongkaran. The incident reportedly occurred at around 13.00 WIB on Friday, December 16.

"The motive has not been determined, the perpetrator is still being pursued," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police, AKP Fiernando Ardiansyah when confirmed by VOI, Friday, December 16.

Although the case was handled by the Tanah Abang Metro Police, the Criminal Investigation Unit stated that the location of the crime scene (TKP) was in the border area of 3 areas, namely Palmerah, Gambir and Tanah Abang sub-districts.

"TKP is under the Jalan Jatibaru train, the West Flood Canal Inspection, South Bambu City, Palmerah District. We are still coordinating with Palmerah and Gambir where the TKP is going. We will examine the witness while investigating the perpetrator," he said.

In addition to examining eyewitnesses to the incident, the police are also still investigating CCTV footage at the scene and its surroundings.

"While we are still checking CCTV, if around the crime scene there are 3 CCTVs that are checked," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a man was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon in Bongkaran River, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, Friday, December 16. The victim, whose identity has not been identified, has been taken to the hospital for autopsy.

The Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, which received a report, immediately checked the hospital to identify the identity of the victim. Geometrically, the victim died before his wife.
