13 Buses At Pulogebang Integrated Terminal Are Not Worth Operation

JAKARTA - Based on the results of the ramp check or road feasibility test ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays, 13 intercity interprovincial (AKAP) buses were found unfit for roads. Head of the Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, East Jakarta, Bernad Pasaribu said the bus was prohibited from operating.

"For buses that are not suitable for roads, we prohibit them from operating, and we ask for replacement buses to be provided. We carry out ramp checks every day," said Bernard Pasaribu, quoted from Antara, Friday, December 15.

Bernard added that the road feasibility test was carried out on all AKAP buses from various autobus companies (POs) including KIR validity checks, horns, lights.

Then also check the condition of the tires and aspects of supporting safety when the bus takes passengers to their destination. The inspection was carried out to prevent accidents due to problems with the AKAP bus fleet.

"For the results of the temporary ramp check at the Pulogebang Terminal, the number of buses that are declared roadworthy is more than those that are not roadworthy," said Bernard.

Bernard said Pulo Gebang Terminal is also preparing to anticipate a surge in passengers during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Later there will be an integrated post that will be established starting Monday, December 19 to serve passengers during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

"Officers alerted by the TNI, Polri, Health Service, Satpol PP, Ministry of Transportation, Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency, Jasa Raharja, and the Transportation Service," said Bernard.
