After 15 Aviation Hours, Jokowi Arriving In Brussels Ready To Attend The ASEAN-EU Summit

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Mrs. Iriana Jokowi are already in Brussels, Belgium.

The two of them took a flight about 15 hours from the country until they arrived at Abelag Airport, Brussels, Belgium, at around 18.00 local time on Tuesday, December 13.

Jokowi, who will attend the 45th ASEAN-EU European Year Commemoration Summit (KTT), was greeted with a temperature of minus one degree Celsius upon arrival in Brussels.

It was also seen at Abelag Airport welcoming Jokowi's arrival, including Belgian Foreign Ministry official Anne Vandormael, European Council official Simona Nikiforova.

Furthermore, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBBP) Brussels Andri Hadi along with the wife and Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague concurrently with Belgium and Luxembourg Muhamad Wirda Prayogo and his wife.

President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana then headed to the hotel where they spent the night in Brussels to continue their working visit agenda at the ASEAN-EU 45 Years Commemoration Summit tomorrow.

Arriving at the hotel where he was staying the night, dozens of Indonesian citizens (WNI) were waiting for the presence of the President and Mrs. Iriana.

Also accompanying President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana in this visit, namely Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita are already in Brussels to attend a meeting in a series of the European ASEAN-EU Summit and prepare for President Jokowi's visit.
