JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Honorary Court of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Andi Rio Idris Padjalangi said awarding or "award" to a number of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives from various factions, based on performance in terms of presence and activity during 2022.

"We hope that this 'award' will be a positive trigger for all members of the DPR to continue to work better," said Andi Rio in Jakarta, Monday, December 12, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the award was a motivation for the elected members of the DPR or had not been elected in carrying out their main duties and functions.

Therefore, according to him, what is the hope of the public can be realized and gradually improve the image of the DPR.

"Although I admit that appreciation for the performance of the DPR has not shown a positive trend, it does not reduce the intention of members of the DPR to continue to improve themselves and continue to strive to build the nation and state in a better direction," he said.

Andi Rio asked members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who received the award to work harder and continue to motivate other members of the House of Representatives to continue to contribute to Indonesia.

According to him, the awards won by DPR members must be a whip for elected members not to be complacent, but must continue to provide the best for the community, nation and state.

The MKD of the DPR RI held a "MKD Award", which was to give awards to members of the DPR who were considered to be performing well during 2022. The MKD Award will be held at the Biawa Ballroom, Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta, this Monday.
