Ganjar Pranowo Popular Internally PAN, Bima Arya: But Has Not Narrowed

The Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Ganjar Pranowo is popular within PAN. However, the party created by Zulkifli Hasan is still working on a figure worthy of being promoted to run for the 2024 presidential election.

"Currently, Mas Ganjar's name is one of the most popular internally but has not been narrowed. There are still nine more names," said PAN DPP chairman Bima Arya to reporters at the Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, Friday, December 9.

Arya said that currently PAN continues to carry out internal consolidation to choose the right candidate who will be supported as a presidential candidate in 2024. However, to determine the names that have been circulating internally, Arya admits that it will take time.

He ensured that the aspirations of each region would be heard, including the emergence of alternative figures such as former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to SOE Minister Erick Thohir.

"The dynamics is still long, I think because each region has different aspirations, Mas Anies' name still appears, there is Kang Emil's name as an alternative, there is the name Erick Thohir. So I think there may still be dynamics in PAN itself," he explained.

"So it's still dynamic. Not yet (there are names that are carried, red)," continued Arya.

Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan said his party was considering a proposal to nominate Ganjar Pranowo as president in the 2024 presidential election. This name is considered superior in various surveys.

Meanwhile, PPP General Chair Mardiono said there were 14 Regional Representative Councils (DPW) of his party that supported Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate to run for the 2024 presidential election.

However, PPP is still in the process of determining who will be promoted as a presidential candidate in 2024. One of them is through communication with political parties that are members of the KIB.
