JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin views the involvement of a number of Presidential ministers Joko Widodo as the wedding committee for Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono as not a problem. According to Ma'ruf, usually the committee for the celebration of a family is filled by the closest people. Ma'ruf views that the minister who was involved in the marriage of the youngest son of the Head of State is someone who is indeed close to Jokowi. "I don't think there is a problem. It's normal. Because, if we do a celebration, of course those around us, (including) the President, of course those around him," said Ma'ruf at the Vice Presidential Palace, broadcast on the YouTube of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Monday, 5 December. Most importantly, Ma'ruf emphasized, the affairs of the Kaesang wedding committee run by these ministers did not interfere with their work in their respective ministries. "The issue of agency is about close people. Who is close, who is in his neighborhood is the committee. Even if there are officials, they cannot interfere with performance," he said. For information, a number of Jokowi ministers participated in preparing for the wedding of Kaesang and Erlina. They are Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno. Kaesang and Erina are scheduled to hold a marriage contract at the Royal Ambarrukmo Hall, Yogyakarta, Saturday, December 10, 2022. Meanwhile, the wedding ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in Puro Mangkunegaran, Solo, Central Java. The wedding ceremony of Kaesang and Erina was not held at Graha Saba Buana, Solo, which used to be the wedding reception for two of Kaesang's brothers, and is a building belonging to Jokowi's family, because the building was rented by the community on the same day.
