BEKASI - Police officers intervened a mass brawl that occurred due to a misunderstanding at a resident's wedding reception in Central Gabus Village, Srijaya Village, North Tambun District, Bekasi Regency. Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Gidion, Setyawan, said that a brawl occurred between local residents and invited guests who attended the wedding reception. "The one who fought was a guest with a local resident. The crime scene (the crime scene) was right at the gate of the Latansa Housing in Gabus Village. We finished it peacefully yesterday," he said in Cikarang, Antara, Monday, December 5. He explained that the brawl was triggered by a misunderstanding. He admitted that as a result of the incident, four local residents suffered minor injuries due to stones that hit temples, hands, and chest. "There were no casualties, only minor injuries due to the throwing of stones. The incident took place quickly, officers immediately approached to intervene between the two warring parties," he said. Gidion appealed to the public not to consume liquor (alcohol) because it could potentially disrupt public security and order, especially in crowded locations. "NCidents like this should not be repeated. Stop consuming alcohol and brawls," he said.
