Investigate The Disposal Of Church Labels At The Cianjur Assistance Tenda, Police Check 15 Witnesses

CIANJUR - Police are still investigating the case of removing the label of houses of worship in aid tents for earthquake victims in Cianjur. In this case, dozens of people have been investigated to find out the actual incident of the case.

"The fingerprint progress is still ongoing, it is still in the stage of examining witnesses. 15 witnesses have been (examinations were carried out)," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, December 4.

Ibrahim said of the fifteen witnesses who had been examined, there were several people who were the owners of the tent.

"Yes (citizens, mass organizations) and also from the owner of the tent," he said.

In addition to examining the fifteen witnesses, Ibrahim revealed that his party also dug up information from expert witnesses and collected evidence. This aims to strengthen the status of the case.

"We will still examine expert witnesses and collect evidence," he concluded.

Previously, the police arrested five people suspected of being the perpetrators of removing stickers in refugee tents from church places of worship which were urgently needed by residents to evacuate because their houses collapsed and were heavily damaged. The video of the actions of the members of the mass organizations, had gone viral on social media.

"For the alleged perpetrator who has undergone an examination at the Cianjur Police, his status is still a witness," he said.
