Often Gets Complaints, Ganjar Curhat To Jokowi Many Teachers Ask To Be Prioritized As PPPK

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said many teachers want to be appointed as Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK). He admitted that he often received complaints from educators.

This was conveyed by Ganjar when giving a speech at the commemoration of PGRI's 77th Anniversary and National Teacher's Day in Semarang, Central Java today, Saturday, December 3.

"So Mr. President, during the commemoration of the birthday of teachers at the provincial level, many fellow teachers complained about the PPPK," said Ganjar in his remarks broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube.

Ganjar said that most of these teachers knew about the program for the appointment of 1 million PPPK. So, they actually hope to be appointed.

"'He said there would be an appointment of 1 million PPPK. That, mbok, teachers are prioritized'. He said that and of course, I am sure that the ladies and gentlemen present today also vented about that kind of thing in their respective places. Moreover, regional heads, they must have received that vent," he said.

Furthermore, Ganjar said that the development of this world of education should not forget about the income of its teachers. Thus, he has asked regents and mayors in Central Java to allocate a minimum budget.

With this step, it is hoped that in the future the lives of honorary teachers can be more prosperous. Moreover, many teachers also confide in Ganjar about their installments because of their income.

"I'm sometimes uncomfortable because the teachers ask this question, until I write, 'Sir, how will our installments be next month'. Let's have the decree in the bank, raise our hands," he said.

"So on the day of the teacher yesterday I asked the regent and mayor whether or not we could allocate the budget, how come there are not many at least. Minimum. In the province of UMK + 7.5-10 percent. That's all, I'm happy to ask for forgiveness, let alone more than that," he concluded.
