NTB - Spokesperson for the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Efrien Saputera said there were no cases of alleged corruption in the Labuhan Lalar Floating Pier construction project in the case file handled by the NTB Prosecutor's Office.

"We have checked and confirmed it inside, there is no such case," he said in Mataram, NTB, Friday, December 2, quoted from Antara.

Previously, it was reported that the handling of the alleged corruption case at the Apung Pier was taken over by the NTB Prosecutor's Office from the West Sumbawa District Attorney (Kejari).

In line with the NTB Prosecutor's Office, the Head of the West Sumbawa District Attorney's Office, Suseno, admitted that he was not aware of the takeover of the case. Even Suseno did not know about the case that began with the 2019 project.

"We didn't know there was a case, we checked, the case was not handled by us," he said, confirmed by telephone.

Suseno said the West Sumbawa Kejari had just been formed in mid-2019. Regarding information from the prosecutor's office asking for clarification from the parties involved in the 2019 project, Suseno said he did not know about it.

"Because I entered in 2021, so I didn't know there was such a handling," he said.

Apung Labuhan Lalar Pier is known to be on the west coast of Sumbawa Island which faces directly into the waters of the Alas Strait. This project cost Rp1.5 billion from the 2016 APBD.

According to information from the official website of the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) of West Sumbawa Regency, the name of the project package is the procurement of floating pontoons.

The implementing contractor from the construction work is CV Kusuma Karya Utama which is domiciled in Mataram City with an offering value of IDR 1.33 billion from the budget ceiling of IDR 1.4 billion.

In the initial plan, the government built this dock to support sea transportation, specifically for the category of fast boats with the crossing route for West Sumbawa Regency-East Lombok Regency.

However, this has not been realized because the condition of the floating dock is now not functioning according to planning. The omission impression appears in the community.

Following up on this condition, the prosecutor's office in 2019 has given attention by investigating the cause of the stalled dock.

According to information, a large sea wave once hit the pier, resulting in a number of dock materials being washed away and lost by the current.

Improvements have been made by the implementing contractor. However, it is reported that the current condition has again suffered damage without any further repairs.

In addition to tracing field information, the prosecutor's office has asked for clarification from parties who know and are involved in the work on the project. One of them, Head of the West Sumbawa Transportation Service.
