JAKARTA - Kansar Pangkalpinang has evacuated 17 crews of the MV Serasi 1 ship that sank in the waters of the Bangka Strait, South Bangka Regency. A total of 17 people were declared safe after the MV Serasi 1 ship sank.

"17 people were immediately evacuated from Lotus. 12 of them are in good health, all are safe. However, 5 people need treatment at the Muntok Health Center," he said.

Meanwhile, 12 survivors were taken to KSOP Muntok for further questioning. The SAR operation took place safely and smoothly.

"5 people who were treated suffered injuries and fever. They were immediately taken to the hospital for further treatment. They were injured during the evacuation process using a scarf," he said.
