Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that there were around 183 Malaysian investors who were interested in the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) development project in East Kalimantan.

"Yesterday I went to Kuala Lumpur because I was invited by the Malaysian Ministry of Trade and International Industry (MITI), they held a forum and there were around 183 investors from Malaysia," Basuki said on the sidelines of the CreatIFF event in Jakarta, Thursday, December 1, quoted by Antara.

Of course, if these investors are interested in investing in IKN, then the budget for IKN is not from the APBN. If not with the APBN, it means that there are various investment schemes, whether pure investment, KPBU and so on depending on the type of activity.

The Malaysian investors want and are interested in investing in development at IKN, as for the sectors that are in demand, such as housing, hospitals, education, startups, energy, and so on.

Other countries that are interested and have expressed interest in participating in IKN development include Japan, Spain, Finland, Brunei Darussalam, and South Korea.

Regarding South Korea, said Basuki, currently conducting a feasibility study for the immersed tunnel, and the construction can also be carried out with a non-APBN investment scheme.

"There are a lot of interest in investing in this IKN and of course it is definitely not with the APBN. I invite them later according to the program of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, in the second or third quarter of next year the President of the Republic of Indonesia will take investors to IKN for development there," said Basuki.

Previously, Basuki attended the Nusantara State Capital Investment Forum (IKN) organized by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) together with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He conveyed that the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in the first market sound on August 22, 2022 and the second on October 18, 2022, gave a message to more than 800 potential investors that IKN Nusantara is Indonesia's future. This can only be realized through joint efforts of all stakeholders, including investors.

For this reason, the Government of Indonesia opens up golden opportunities for local and foreign investors to participate in the development of IKN Nusantara.
