JAKARTA - Bad weather that often hit the city of Jakarta and its surroundings caused a number of trees to fall and houses to be damaged due to strong winds during heavy rains.

The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) appealed to the public, especially in Jakarta, to always be vigilant to anticipate all forms of potential natural disasters.

Head of the Disaster Data and Information Processing Unit of DKI Jakarta BPBD, Michael Sitanggang, said that in responding to the extreme weather that has recently hit Jakarta, the public is asked to remain vigilant.

"Use the JAKI application to report flood events or inundation that occurred in the vicinity," he said.
