The police have named five people as suspects in the case of abuse which led to the death of a student with the initials F (16) in Medan Sunggal District, Medan City, North Sumatra.

The act of persecution that led to death had gone viral on social media (medsos) some time ago. Medan Police Chief Kombes Pol Valentino Alfa Tatareda during the case at the Medan Police Headquarters on Sunday said the identities of the five suspects, each with the initials SA, RM, KES, JSS and ALN. "We have arrested these five suspects," he said. The victim had fled to a gas station, but was followed by the five suspects. At that location the victim was tortured using sharp weapons until he finally died.

The incident was then reported by the local community to the police who were continued to investigate and managed to arrest the five suspects at their hiding place on Saturday, November 26, then. "The results of our temporary investigation, this brawl has indeed occurred before," he said.
