PDAM Pipes In Cianjur Impacted By The Earthquake, 25 Water Accusing Trucks Including From BNPB Were Deployed

JABAR - A number of pipes from the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) in Cianjur were damaged by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6. The Cianjur Regency Government (Pemkab) sent water tanker trucks to address the problem. Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said there were about six tanker trucks from PDAM that were prepared to meet the water needs of victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake.

The problem was also overcome by the lowering of PDAM water tanks from cities and regencies outside Cianjur including from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and PMI.

"So quite a lot, there are a total of about 25 tanks," said Herman at the Cianjur Hall, West Java (West Java), Friday, November 25, confiscated by Antara. For that, he asked people who need clean water supplies to report to local officials, starting from RT, RW, or village heads. According to him, one tank truck was loaded with 3,000 liters of clean water. "PDAM is ready 24 hours as long as there is communication, in which area, we will definitely send it. Because here there are still a lot of water tanks, the important thing is communication," he said.

Adapun dia menjelaskan perbaikan pipa-pipa PDAM sempat terganggu akibat banyak kendaraan lalu-lalang di jalur pipa air tersebut. Menurutnya pipa-pipa air yang mengalami masalah itu merupakan pipa ibu di kawasan Cirumput."Sehingga perbaikan pipa itu sangat sulit dilakukan karena membutuhkan alat-alat, dan membutuhkan pipa yang besar," tuntamnya bisa masuk ke lokasi perbaikan," tandasnya.
