Teddy Minahasa Withdraws The BAP, A Suspicious Lemkapi

The suspect in the narcotics case, Inspector General Teddy Minahasa, decided to withdraw all information that had been recorded in the examination procedure file (BAP). This step makes the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) feel that something is odd.

Lemkapi Executive Director Dr. Edi Hasibuan said there was an attempt to obscure the possession of evidence of five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with the suspect Inspector General Teddy Minahasa.

"We see an effort aimed at blurring possession of five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine to ward off Teddy Minahasa's involvement," he said in a written statement, as quoted by Antara, Saturday, November 19.

Edi asked Hotman Paris Hutapea, who is the lawyer for the former West Sumatra Police Chief, not to talk too much, to confuse the public.

"It is better if Hotman proves that his client's involvement is not in accordance with legal facts in court," he asserted.

Edi said Inspector General Teddy Minahasa who withdrew the first examination report (BAP) and the second BAP and made a new confession was the right as a suspect to defend himself.

But, he said, it must be remembered that all evidence of Inspector General Teddy Minahasa's involvement that the police have is digital evidence and the testimony of other suspects is also very strong.

Inspector General Teddy Minahasa's confession that he only joked about exchanging five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with tawas was also difficult to accept. The reason, according to Edy, communication via Whatsapp is not only once, but repeatedly.

Polda Metro Jaya has named Inspector General Teddy Minahasa as a suspect for allegedly ordering to exchange evidence of five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with tawas to the former Bukittinggi Police Chief AKBP Dody Prawiranegara who was also a suspect in this case.

The evidence is part of evidence of a drug case revealed by the Bukittinggi Police, West Sumatra.

Meanwhile, Hotman Paris Hutapea, lawyer Teddy Minahasa said the order to AKBP Dody to exchange evidence of methamphetamine with tawas was just a joke.

Hotman Paris Hutapea at the Mako Polda Metro Jaya, Friday said that at that time Teddy Minahasa was testing AKBP Dody, who was then the Head of the Bukit Tinggi Police.

"It's normal for the leadership to test members, it's normal once the leadership tests it and it turns out that not a single witness said that tawas was replaced with drugs," said Hotman.

Hotman said there was no evidence of narcotics exchanged for tawas.

Hotman said the narcotics evidence used as evidence in the case that ensnared Teddy Minahasa had nothing to do with his client.
