PPP Maluku Supports Ganjar And Anies Become President Candidates, Mardiono: In The End Must Be Adhered To Central Mechanisms

JAKARTA - The Maluku PPP Regional Representative Council (DPW) announced that it supports two names for presidential candidates (candidates) and two others for vice presidential candidates (cawapres) in the 2024 presidential election.

The objection to the four names was based on the results of a regional leadership meeting (rapimwil) of the Maluku PPP DPW. Responding to him, Plt. PPP General Chair Muhamad Mardiono said the PPP DPP was open to the aspirations of regional administrators.

"This is the sound of the lower current submitted to the DPP, but in the end all must obey the principles. What has become the central mechanism must be implemented," said Mardiono in a press release, Friday, November 4.

Mardiono emphasized that the aspirations of the cadres regarding the proposed names of the presidential and vice presidential candidates are meaningful input that must be accommodated. However, he emphasized that the final decision remains with the PPP DPP.

"This is again not a decision, only the cadre's thoughts that may also surface among the community. It's called a democratic party, so all citizens have the same rights," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Maluku PPP DPW A. Aziz Hentihu stated that he would obey and solidly the decision of the PPP DPP. He believes that the PPP DPP will not be arbitrary in deciding the name to be carried as a presidential and vice presidential candidate in 2024.

Aziz said that facing the 2024 General Election, the Maluku PPP DPW together with the PPP DPP continued to strengthen solidity under Mardiono's leadership.
