He said that the landslide disaster in Girikcana Village, Parungponteng District, eroded most of the roads, causing motorized vehicles to not be able to pass through that route.
The issue of road access, he said, was the Tasikmalaya BPBD together with related agencies including the Tasikmalaya Public Works Service had held a coordination meeting to discuss regional management affected by landslides.
"For road countermeasures that break, there will be a technical study from the Public Works," he said.
His staff together with other related agencies will re-check areas affected by landslides to determine whether an emergency road is made or to make other efforts to overcome the cut off road.
He hopes that there will be emergency roads and other improvement efforts, so people who use motorized vehicles can return to their activities as usual through the road.
"Hopefully, if there is an emergency road, the Public Works will make plans for the repair of the main road that was hit by landslides," he said.
The landslide area in Parungponteng is reported to be currently in stable condition or there is no movement of land that causes landslides.
Even so, he said, local people remain vigilant because the threat of landslides could occur, especially when it is still the rainy season.
